They did not seam very helpful. Seamed like they were there for payday and quit time.
I got some seals in from somewhere that were modern seals. I will also look for a part number on those. They looked very good. Looked like stainless construction with a seal at the top inside area of the seal. Very well made. Looked like they would last a long time and seal very well. On the inside edge it had rubber to seal against the bearing.
Fossil cross referenced seals for me a while back and I was able to get them off the Internet. I think both sides were a total of 17 bucks delivered. May have saved a couple bucks doing it locally but figured I'd end up in the same situation that you had.

It looks like there are two part numbers for the 10 series FW side seal. 61618 and 67906. 61618 has been crossed to Timken (National) 471551 which works for a shaft size of 0.5625"(9/16") and a case bore size of 1.375" (1-3/8")

Not sure about 67906 but I would like to find out. If measuring the seal itself the OD (case bore) is generally 0.004" larger than the case bore and the seal ID would be .040" to .050" smaller than the shaft size.

Is there anyine here with the manual/parts tree for an Mac 895.

Some would say the DX was export only. Sometimes they are designated as the CP - DX and sometimes just DX. I have at least one IPL at home so the information was at least distributed within the USA. The most obvious differences are the rubber cushion on the rear handle and the extra brace on the front wrap handle. They do seem to show up more often overseas. I know of several in Japan as well as some in Europe. There were a few other models that seemed to be export only, I can't remember the details exactly but there was one like a 595 in Europe that was the Super 550 here and another like 385 that was the Super 250 here.

Started to pull it apart, now to rebuild the carb and some paint.

MAC 10 series auto oil pump question.

The oil pump piston assy which is assembled in order top to bottom, the pintle, 60937 teflon washer, piston disc, and "O" ring.

I have had a few of these apart and have never seen the teflon washer between the pintle head and the piston disc. I took two apart tonight and neither has one.

Is this washer essential to prevent damage or tighten up the assembly or?

Of the ones I have rebuilt, some had them and some did not. I have seen one with 2 of them on there. I have used a piece of milar between the pintle and the piston. A few times I just used gasket sealant and that works. My guess is it's there to cushion and help seal the piston. Just my guess.
