Perhaps there is some dirt in a mechanism somewhere plugging it up and preventing stuff from working right.

If you removed the oil pump for cleaning, be sure that the little check disc that sits under the pump was replaced correctly.
If you disassembled the piston pump, did you replace the o-ring?
Also, there is a check ball inside the drilled passage leading to the bar mount pad. It is permanently locked in place by a lead plug in end off the drilled passage. It is possible that sludge is keeping this ball from seating properly. Soak the oil tank in solvent to free it up.When you shake the oil tank you must be able to hear the ball rattling inside.

What,A Mac oiler that doesn't work? That's almost unheard of.73driver said:
Well that prevarication aside it's more than likely the check valve gummed up.Saturate the oiling hole in the saw body with Wd-40.Let it soak for an hour or so then fill the oil tank with kerosine or diesel fuel and manualy pump the whole thing out with the thumb oiler.
