Reminds me of my Grandpa..... He always used to say something about money and sense.

I'm still kinda lost to know if you bought it Brad......
Hope the next GTG you at least let me touch it..............
You make a valid point there However, I bet this saw will hold it's value better than many other investments, although prices are down on them right now. 1 1/2 to 2 years ago this saw would have brought $2000-$2500 I'd dare say.
Enough of the game playing, lol. This saw will soon be finding its way into my stable! I never dreamed I'd own one in this kind of condition. The seller and I have been dealing back and for on it for a little while. Something came up that he really wanted which forced me to make a decision. Thus the reason the auction was ended.
Let's see..... If you bought FoMoCo a couple of months ago for say $1.70. And this week it was $7.00 plus. So, for $1500 you could have bought 880 shares and sold it this week for $6160. If you invested in a very stable bond fund for say till retirement (25 years) at 4% that would be $16,400. If you could squeeze 5% out of an investment it would be right at $21,000. If you can manage to get the historical growth that the market has seen over the longterm and manage 10% return, then that would grow to $ 69,958.
