I have a Stihl MS200 - 15-20 tanks of gas old. On Sunday it started right up and ran great. Yesterday afternoon, filled it up with gas, started it up, ran fine for 4 or 5 minutes, then it started acting balky. Died a couple of times. Would run if I babied it. Seemed like there was a flat spot in the middle of acceleration. If it got past that, it would cut on high rpms, but would stall easily on idle. Needed choke to start, even though it was warm.

Same gas mix both days, only difference was it was 50 degrees on Sunday - mid 70's yesterday.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
Dave

Sounds like you have a developing problem with and air leak or the impulse or fuel lines... Dont use it like this as the next problem gets really expensive. I assume you've tried adjusting the L screw a tad richer?

No. I didn't have any tools with me. Was clearing a fence line after work, used an axe on some little stuff, then knocked off for the night.

Will give it a try.
Thanks.

Opened up the L screw just a bit.

Also flipped the winter/summer tab. Not sure how important that is.

Cut for about 25 minutes. It ran fine.

Hope that gets it. We'll see.

Thanks again.
