So I picked up this cruddy MS201tc that is missing a few parts.

I'm hoping to rebuild this and was wondering if anyone had a parts diagram for the saw?

Also dose anyone know where to find parts for it in Australia?

I would strip it down, completely, and clean everything. Then, evaluate what parts you will need to restore it and do a cost/benefit. Benson has the IPL and service manuals for it so send him a pm.
I have a few misc pts from earlier rebuilds so might have a few things you need…but freight will be nuts so…plan A…local dealer with a saw pile 😀

So I have started to rebuild the saw.....however I'm not getting spark.

It is the M tonic version and I have not yet got the carby plugged in.....would this cause it to not generate spark because of the enclosed electric circuit or have I got other issues.

Well I went to start it again today and it will not start....

I can get 2 or 3 pops on full throttle but will not continue to run.
It will not even fire without the throttle.

Any ideas what the issue is and how to fix?

Ok, did you put a new carb kit in it, and did you replace the solenoid and new fine fuel filter/ orange one.

Carb is basically the same as a normal one, but instead of a main jet circuit metered by an adjustable needle, it has an electronically controlled solenoid.

common issues is solenoid failure causing overly rich condition.
So usual fix is new fine filter and new solenoid.

let us know what you have done so we have a good base to work from, and dont leap frog over the problem.
