I just got what looks like a lightly used yardmachines 26t w/6.5 intek b/s. If anyone has one, could they let me know if theirs has the throttle fixed at wot. Mine is and it seems I would only need 3/4 throttle for small stuff.

I changed hydro fluid, eng oil, and air/hydro filters. No leaks and everything looks good so far. I need to fab a better log cradle for sure. Any other advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

I had one for about 8 years ,and yes You can change the engine speed . Look at the top of the carb , there's a fitting that looks like it will take a throttle cable . It's sitting horizontally in relation to the carb . If memory serves me it also has a spring fitted to it . I put a zip tie through one of the holes on the fitting so that I could grip it . Pulling out increases throttle .
Sorry if this comes across as a lame explanation
