so, i just filled up a 4 gallon stockpot with water and put it on the stove. maybe the heat difference will be negligible, but it cant hurt....

Right?

I don't know about a stockpot. Been usind a tea pot on our stove, go through about 1 - 1 1/2 gal a day when home & keeping the stove loaded. Seems to help us out alot with hum. levels. Should help you I would think. Scott

i use a 3 pound coffee can filled to the top,and refill on an average of 36 hours so far this heating season.... normal humidity has been at 70 % out side...try to keep the indoors hum. at 45 to keep the wife happy??
