I'm looking for a 48"-50" sprocket tipped bar for my 084. Stihl jumps from 41" to 59". I prefer .063 3/8 but could change the sprocket in a .404 bar. This is the only bar I've found and is a little pricey. LINK.

I have a 60" Cannon old style 3 rivet tip, but I want my 50" it is brand new. I will keep my eyes open. Probably more on the long bars out here than over you way.
Madsen's has good buys on long Cannon's - but they are still expensive.

I bought a couple 50 inchers and a 60 incher from them, best deal I found.

Expensive, but stiffer than other long bars I've seen due to steel and the big belly. Work great and for me worth the extra in a long bar.

I've quit buying Cannons in shorter lengths because I prefer to not have the extra weight and costs (great bars though and I still run three of them in 36 and shorter. Just would not do it again).

Brad,

I did not realize Stihl did not have a 48" anymore.

Here is one I have left. Not sure if I want to part with it though.

I sent you a PM Bill. I called the dealer with that PN and it looks like I can still get one new.

Here are the options I've found so far. Looks like the Stihl's a no brainer.

Canon 50" .063 3/8 - $257.50
WoodlandPro 50" .063 3/8 - $289.95 (Is this a Canon?)
GB 50" .063 .404 - $175 + cost of 3/8 tip
Stihl 50" .063 .404 - $115 + cost of 3/8 tip
Used Stihl 50" .063 .404 - What ever Bill will take:) + cost of 3/8 tip

Chain time. This 50" bar will be used to buck up a 7' diameter Bur Oak. Would you keep it .404 or go 3/8 like I have planned on? Full-comp, semi-skip, or full-skip? I should have the power to pull what ever. Which one's going to serve me best?
