As the title says, I prefer to be prepared when jumping into something new.

Next, take off the bar/chain, and cover. Open a beer......

Better send the wife for a case............................

Next, remove the muffler........

Regarding porting, the Giant recommends that you do your homework, especially if you're wondering how to take the saw apart. On the other hand, if you're just prepping yourself, that's a good sign. Fish, you kill me.

Already been instructed on the porting. I have been porting automotive heads for years, so I'm not totally green.
