Need some advise - MS 200T

I just bought a new MS 200T emblem that goes on the pull start cover of my saw. What is the proper method of pulling off my old cracked one to replace me new one? I don't want to mark up the edges of the pull start cover if I don't need to trying to use a screw driver to pry it off.

Take out the recoil spring (careful...) and punch the old badge out through he two mount holes. Then have fun rewinding your spring

I got impatient waiting for a response and just poped it off with a puddy knife and a screw driver. I did not damage the coil cover at all. I used a few drops of crazy glue and poped the new one on with a rubber mallet.
