What the heck is "rostrum"?

Do what you want with the picture. Doesn't matter to me.

Rostrum | Define Rostrum at Dictionary.com
noun, plural ros·tra , ros·trums. 1. any platform, stage, or the like, for public speaking. 2. a pulpit. 3. a beaklike projection from the prow of a ship ...

Copied from internet.........maybe he is interested in the large bucking spikes, not sure

I don't understand everything in your post, but I think you want the part number for the double large dawgs? The answer is here;

Here is the part number for the XPW inner and outer dawgs with chain catcher: 576873002

As this is a public forum, you can of course show any picture you want from here, to anyone you want to - you don't have to ask anyone! ;)

Thank you very much.

Sorry for my bad english. I've used google translator for the thing i don't know the name. Now i know the name that is: dawg.

I've felt the need when i cut big stem and in same situation where is little space. I work with a bar of 28" husqvarna tech light for the weight but not for the quality..... is to much flexible.

Dawgs comes from "dogs teeth", but it is just one of many different words that is used to describe that attachment for a chainsaw. I believe bark support may be the most correct expression, but some wil surely disagree, mostly based on local or regional habits......:laugh:

Anyway, dawgs or spikes are words that most can relate to, and understand what you are "talking" about.

I checked the XPW dawg kit on my 550 and it wasn't a simple bolt on, but very close. I didn't do any measuring. Then again nothing ever seems to go smoothly for me so before I flat out said you were wrong I wanted to be sure lol, thanks for checking! XPW kit is far too big for a 550 lol I was just checking the matchup ;)

Why would anyone want dawgs on a saw that light anyway? :biggrinbounce2:
