Here's a few pics unpacking the NE346. Haven't had time to take her out yet, too busy right now baling hay.

Nice Saw, you will enjoy it.
78dl is that 20" bar?
Depending what your cutting for wood you might be asking a bit much from a 346.
Good Saw, I have had mine for about 3 years and has not let me down.

I changed my 346XP NE to 16", 3/8", .050", & 7 tooth rim. Running RSC chain. Never been happier.

I tried 3/8" / 18" on my ported OE346 and it slowed it down.

I have run other 346s' with 3/8 chain that were impressive though. And will try it on my NE at some point. Likely after porting.

I still like .325 on smaller saws...

I like the 3/8s better, but mainly because I spin my own chains and it helps keep down on having so much different stuff. 50cc and up is all I own and there all wearing 3/8s.

just put on a new 18" .325/50g bar the other day and haven't had a chance to try it in wood yet. I've used the saw with a 16 with 8pin since I got it back in '05. I doubt it will be too problematic since the saw was fully 'built' by Dan Henry about a month after I first got it..if it is I'll just gear it down with a 7p :D
I use the 346xp for most of my cutting now...getting too old and soft...
