I'm done‼ Tossed the last few sticks in the firebox this mornin'.
I'm done I tell ya'‼ Done‼
I ain't gonna' bring anymore in... done... done... done‼

The family can freeze their pansy butts off for all I care... 'cause I'm done‼
Bunch'a whiners... crybabies... I'm dumpin' the ashes for the last time tonight, and that marks the end.

I am... really... I am... I'm done... finished... it's friggin' over... kaput... :nofunny:

Talk like that only means one thing.
Your definitely hauling more wood down and keeping it going! You just haven't been able to admit it yet.

got enough on the back porch for about half a weeks burning. hasn't been getting burned. keep secretly hoping that the fire tender starts some fires but ain't gonna say so. might get somewhat uncomfortable when the outside temps fall between 50 to 80. gonna have to haul that stuff back out to the stacks soon. bout the same time as I take the plastic off the back porch; soon.

Keep me posted on how that works out for you. I'm betting that if the little women really wants a fire, you'll knuckle under just like the rest of us! Talk is cheap when she's not watching you type!

agree completely....time to switch over to burning tires (less than 3/32nds tread) for when you need that quick vulcanized heat without an all day burn.

The wife just called me here at work... she's pizzed.
Seems it's cold in the house and there ain't no firewood in the basement neither.
I told her we were done... over with... done‼
She said... well... I can't repeat that here... but it ended with something about supper and the gas furnace.
Anyway... I ain't gonna' go home tonight... I ain't gonna'... I'm not... really... I'm not.
So... call me a snivelin' weasel... see if I care.

I'm bringing in more wood this weekend. Snowing now, I think we have had less than a handful of nights above freezing so far. Seems low 20's is a norm. Getting old being 15-20* below average temps now.

If you believe the weather people it should be getting into the 60's by the weekend with lows in the 40's for next week so I may stop burning. Still have wood in the house until I know for sure the burning season is over.

I hauled about 1/2 a cord in basement last week to empty the wagon in garage. I filled it up but still have a little in the wagon. Have lit a few lately, but wife just goes and turns to thermostat up if she cold. Well, 66 is usually "Up". Propane is cheap...ehh
