Does anyone know what size fittings are needed to connect hoses to the cylinder on this unit? It seems they're not "standard". I thought most ports were 1/2" NPTF ?

Tx,

I do not know for sure but if they are not NPT they are most likely SAE ORB. They have a chamfer around the hole for an o-ring that provides the sealing.

The Prince Cylinder that I got from Northern (5 x 24) had -10 (5/8) ports. I used 90 degree fittings from surplus center to 37° JIC fittings on the hoses that I also got from them.

Your cylinder most likely has a -8 ( 1/2") or -10 (5/8") if that is the case.

This is a link to a pdf at Surplus Center to help identify the fitting you will need.

An a link to the SAE port dimensions themselves.
