I just tore down a Husky 261 which had been modified by the former owner. In it, I found a Walbro HDA-144a carburetor as I would expect. However, this carb does not have the limiter adjust screws, it has screws like the non-EPA HDA-120 predecessor. The screw heads do not appear to be modified. Does any know if the HDA-144a ever had non-limiter adjust screws? I've seen a lot of HDA-144a's but none were like this. I'm thinking this may be yet another mod the owner did.

I had a look on 2 IPL`s from 1-1998 and 6-1999. There both carburetors HDA-144 on the 261 (EPA-Version) have limiter caps. 503 91 39-01 cap for the H screw, and 503 91 40-01 cap for the L screw.
