I have just purchased an Oregon 511AX bench grinder. It comes with three grinding wheels 1/4, 3/16 and 1/8. The manual is not very good. It tells you what wheel to use with what OREGON chain, but I use Stihl chains. I'm guessing that I use the 3/16 wheel which is recommended for Oregon Chains that use a 7/32 file. Of course, Stihl uses a slightly different file 13/64. Is that enough to make a difference? Do they make another wheel for Stihl chain?

The smallest wheel for 1/4 and 3/8 lo/pro and some of the lower .325s
the next size for the others.

File size is more critical than wheel diameter, as the final angle on the wheel
is made on the side of the wheel/thus the wheel's angle.

you can not use an oregon grinder on stihl chain

Just kidding.. I was thinking of all the whose chain is the hardest threads as of late.
