I've found a Partner R12 for sale that looks interesting to me. From Acre's site it looks like a pretty big saw (90cc) and low revving (6000rpm). That is right up my alley. However, I imagine that parts are practically nonexsistent for these saws since the thing was introduced in 1962.

Do you guys know what is still available for them? Carb kits only or what? What are the weak areas?

Also any opinions on this thing would be appreciated. If I wind up buying it it will be to use for yearly woodcutting, not to look at. I noticed it uses .404 chain and this particular saw has a 24" bar.

Thanks very much, Chris

Most parts are hard to find, but not impossible as these were common saws, if you don't mind used. The nice thing is they use the large mount Husky bars, so you can get anything you want in that dept.
