Partner R420 only runs when horizontal with gas tank toward ground...help please

The title says it all. It has a new gas line, new fuel filter, new spark plug, but will only run when held horizontal. When held correctly, it dies from lack of fuel. Impulse line? It is the version of the saw with the points if that helps.

Any help is appreciated.

Did you check if fuel line is enough and if there is a fuel filter on it.There is no impulse line on the.Pulse goes from engine tru a plastic
block(sometimes they cracked close bolt holes)and gaskets to your carb.
