cut a bunch of apple wood today helping out at my friends orchard and my partner stopped oiling...the passage from the pump to the bar is clear and removed the pump and the push rod is going in and out for the pump. The pump moved oil if I work the tang for the ratchet wheel. Does the ratchet mechanism wear out so there is not enough travel in the push rod to operate the pump...just wondering bout common fault areas with this particular model. I have what looks like a new pump in a small parts lot that I have from an old dealer...any thoughts ?
