We are hiring for a key position in our company, here is the monster.com ad:

One position is available.

This is NOT a position for a short term job. This is one that you will give you a very high paying rewarding career. Once filled, this position may not be available again for another 20 or 30 years!

We are looking for a good Plant Health Technician/Pesticide Applicator.

Responsibility of this job:

This position is meant for someone who can “run” our plant health care department. (you will receive guidance your first season)

Monitor, evaluate and provide plant health care, often by spraying insecticides or other agents/chemicals.

Maintain good record keeping.

Work independently and be self-directed (particularly after the first season).

Give estimates, diagnosis and recommendations to customers (likely after the first season).

Perform general “groundman” tree care work during the “off-season”.

What we offer:

Minimum $20.00/Hr starting pay for the first season.

After the first season, there will then be a combination of commission and hourly wage. The commission for this job will be tremendous. The yearly commission salary should be from $40,000 to $200,000. Other technicians will be hired and work under you in the coming years, you also get commission from their work as well.

Take home work truck (after the first season).

Cell phone (after the first two months)

Retirement investing

Paid vacations and paid holidays.

Uniforms.

All equipment and PPE (personal protective equipment) and chemicals paid for.

Fuel paid for.

Income in the “Off season”.

Bonuses and pay for continuing education and to obtain licenses and certifications.

Why pick Arbor-X over a big 'chain' tree care company?

You will have much faster upward mobility.

You will be paid more.

You will not have all the blanket 'rules' and 'red tape' a large 'chain' company has. You will have communication with the company owner and a more direct one on one relationship.

You will be valued more.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You will NOT have to be entirely on your own the first season. You will receive training. The company owner (ISA Certified Arborist and MD Tree Expert) will personally take you to estimates and help you with applications until you are able to do so on your own.

About the Company:
We are a respected residential tree service in the Harford, Cecil and Baltimore county areas of Maryland. We perform our work to high standards and run a very professional operation.

Arbor-X Inc is a residential tree expert company that performs all types of tree care needs: Tree removals. Tree trimming. Cabling and bracing. Stump removal. Fertilizing. Insecticide and Herbicide application. Land clearing.

Arbor-X is a relatively small company, with a handful of excellent employees. We have been in business for 12 years. We offer superior quality of work and have a huge customer base. We are always ready to expand, but we only expand when we have the quality workers to do so.

Off Season:

Plant health care can be slow in the 'off-season'. You will still have a good income during those months.

”Off season” work would likely involve this job description:

Ground Person/Climber’s Assistant:
A ground person is often someone that works on the 'ground' with a tree climber. He/she often uses ropes to lower limbs and wood. He/she often runs a chipper to dispose of limbs and logs. Other tasks might include, tree felling, stump grinding, fertilizing, equipment maintenance, etc. This person must be able to use a chain saw safely and understand the mechanics of a sophisticated tree removal. They should have mechanical sense to run machinery correctly. Ground persons have to be in great physical shape to keep up with the rigorous pace. Work is often hard and physically draining. Positive points about this position: The work day goes by very fast. You stay in great physical shape. Almost every day you are at a different location and situation. You get to work outside. You have a sense of satisfaction being part of a team that does amazing tasks that most people can't do.

We use good equipment and vehicles; our equipment shouts, “we are a professional company”. Tree work is naturally hard, but modern equipment takes a lot of the back-breaking work out of it, and we believe in using the best equipment.

As stated above; individuals need to be in good physical shape. This means no smokers or people that have never had a physically strenuous job or do not get exercise. Even new workers that are in good physical shape are always tired the first two weeks of work, but you will quickly build up endurance for this type of work.

Location:

We are located in Bel Air Maryland. Most of the jobs we work on are in Harford county, but we also visit Cecil and Baltimore county. Arbor-X will likely have other offices elsewhere in the state in coming years. We are located about 35-40 minutes Northeast of Baltimore. We are NOT 'big city'. There is still some farm land and open space. The quality of life here is viewed as “high”.

If you have what it takes, I can not stress enough; that we VALUE GOOD WORKERS. You will be paid very well and treated with respect.
