So Its been 10-12 years since I have been on here. In that time I have lost my wife of 25 years to cancer. which is why I dropped away when she was diagnosed. I have since (somehow) found real love again. So it appears the 1074 is still sought after which is good. Anyone ever find a source for the air filter cover or the filters? NOS? I had big plans on really restoring my whole collection when I retired but not so sure any more. I remarried 7 years ago and my wife is a landlord with her Dad. They own several duplexes in 2 different cities. So guess who is the built in property manager? Me. Ha! I might be contemplating selling my collection as a single lot. Pioneer 1074 with spare "new in the box" cylinder, piston & rings, Echo Twin cyl CS610 EVL. Poulan 2300. A few others. I cant remember as they have been stashed in the garage for 10 years. I do plan on retiring from my full time job at least, in the next year or so but am afraid I'll still be to busy working on rental properties. Plus wife and her 85 year old Pop are always looking to buy more investment properties. Ugh! Thoughts???

Renewing this old thread - I'd like a pioneer saw with a chain brake, so I can use it at work.
Has anyone got a p38, p42, farmsaw, p40, or even a p51 available?
I have found that pioneer is my favourite brand of saw, but my collection is all from the pre-chain brake era.
Let me know what ya got! Located near Orillia, Ontario

It is not a bad saw. Both that and the P42 are "western models" The 50 derivative is a derivative because .......possibly it could be a P62 class saw wearing P52 clothing so it can be ran in the 5 cube class. ...Who would ever do such a thing? :omg:
