Wondering if it is good or bad to run a pipe damper in a new EPA car or secondary burn stove? I know everyone had them in old stoves, but wasn't sure if it's a good idea on a new stove?

I understand that you don't need them any more so I did not put one in on my Jotul. The damper control on the stove is supposed to be sufficient, and you keep the draft the best you can with out the restrictions. :monkey:

Sound good?

Sounds fine to me! I didn't buy one to put in the pipe yet! I hope to start the stove up tomorrow and will see what happens. It is a brand new stove and a brand new chimney.
