Looking for some insight. 6 trees on the side of our home have not leafed out this year. They are loaded with buds. And some have some curly tiny sprouts but that is it. Most are oak 2 are hickory. Backyard and neighbors trees are all looking healthy and well. Worried sick over here. Have calls in to several arborist with no luck on returned calls. Any ideas?!

If your trees are not in leaf by mid June they are toast. Last picture shows possible symptoms of herbicide injury. Take a few pictures of the lower oak leaves in picture two, they look distorted.

I read your first post. You said oak and hickory. Is it both species or just the one? If both I'm leaning towards some type of herbicide injury from the looks of you last pics. Also, how do your neighbors trees look?

It's white oak. Black oak. And hickory. Neighbors trees all looks normal. Bark on these looks perfectly normal. Branches are moist and pliable. Soo odd. Have not used chemicals in yard Same types of trees in backyard are perfectly normal. Just the front and side yard has an issue.

Did the neighbors do any lawn spraying? If so,possible drift or leaching.

The pics of the oak leaves are classic herbicide injury. This event happened last year, most likely soil application. Other possible applications, tree spraying, house/roof washing or nefarious activity.
Leaf blisters are not of concern.
Hmmm. We DID have the deck power washed last spring for the first time ever. 😰😰😰😰😰😰😰 🤔🤔🤔
