Polan Pro Model 365

Hi again,I picked up this chainsaw from a friend.This saw he told me would not start so I said I would take a look·First thing I did was take it apart and clean it·Took the carb off and found a small pin hole in the fuel line going to the carb·Fixed that problem and then checked for spark,good spark.Compression is also good.It seems that when I go to start it the recoil is hard to pull but without the plug in no problem.Could this saw have a decompression valve?This is the first Poulin that I have worked on.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.:msp_sad:

No decomp valve on the 365.

Maybe the recoil cord is wrong, wrong diameter, binding up, etc. Besides that, just a strongish saw.

Try posting on the Sticky: Poulan thread. There are a lot of great guys on there with a lot of knowledge on fixing Poulans.

If it's a "Polan" or a "Poulin" it might be a Chinese knockoff.
