Drill a bunch of TINY holes in a soft copper pipe... coil it up, use a regulator and adjust your pressure for best "foaming" action. We have one in a 5 gallon bucket of purple cleaner at work.. Sure it works, but it's no ultrasonic cleaner. Good for the first pass though.

Cool, copper pipe is a good idea. Looks like we might be getting a big parts washer at work soon. That would be sweet, those things work awesome, they make stuff shine like new.

Ultrasonic cleaning is high frequency (20-30kHz) induced cavitation. When these tiny cavitation bubbles implode they cause a very strong microscopic cleaning action. It has nothing to do with making the parts in the tank vibrate.

The homemade methods of agitating a cleaning media are not ultrasonic cleaning.

What, something is better then my old toothbrush (or $0.50 cent parts brush) and gas?

I like the sander ider! We would work well together, as those that have stopped thinking are boring as h311.

Carb and Brake cleaners are on the shopping list, and an air-compressor with a 'non-OSHA' air-squirter are as handy as fingers sometime.
