yikes...im not a stihl guy, im guessing thats a rare one eh brad?
I believe (take that for what it’s worrh) in the top 3 rarest of the Stihl one man saws. Finding a gear drive Contra in any shape has proven to be pretty tough. I’ve only ever seen two sell on the open market since I started collecting.

Thanks Tim, it is extra ugly right now. Stuck solid at the moment. Bottom end is free, but piston is locked solid inside the cylinder. Luckily the piston is near TDC so the transfers aren’t open. Pulled plug and filled the combustion chamber full of mouse milk, letting it set overnight.
Nope, that’s just what happens when they sit on a shelf for years in the same room as a chain grinder in a pretty high volume saw shop. Nearly all the paint is gone as well. While I’m not typically an advocate for “restoring” saws, this one may get restored.
