Pump mounting Q

I have got my motor assembly almost complete the only thing is can I mount my pump with the Northern stick facing down so the suction on the left side (if your looking at the pump end of the motor)?

no worries. gear pumps don't have any case drain so can be mounted any direction, and shaft up or down also.
