questions about my 026

Hi Guys,

heres a shot of my muffler cover, I wanna make sure I have this correct, I drill 2 holes (one on top one on bottom) of the large hole in the middle?


Also, I think I have the right carb, but what is the Adjustment below the hl?

What is the Adjustment on top of it?

I need to get a manual for this

The LA screw is the idle speed.
Top screw attaches the cover to the cylinder.
One of mine has that type muffler, and I would lie to know the best way to modd it as well.
A guy on eBay has a bunch of service manuals on pdf he sells for about 5.00
no shipping fee-- you just download it, His handle is retoocs555.

Bump. Does anyone have a pic of a proper modd for this type of 026 muffler that they wood like to share??? I did mine, but I likely did a butcher job......

Here is a pic of whut I did to mine... Holes are 3/8" in diameter..
Did I do it right, or did I go too far?

Did the same thing to mine, but with one less hole. Sure wakes them up. You'll like it.

I opened mine up too far and it wouldn't hold a tune at idle properly.
