Releasing holding valves

Did it blow a hose and the safety check valve is holding it?
Do you have the book that came with it? What year and model lift you have there?
I think you have to bleed it down but it has to be in the right spot or the check valve may stop it.
In California, it is an OSHA and DOT requirement to have the operators manual on the truck at all times, then you would have your answer,

This is true in Canada as well. Federal OH&S as well as CSA.
