Service Bulletin for 357XP, 359, 353, 346XP

This service bulletin is not new. I thought that there might be some out there who were not aware of it so here it is. If your saw has a black plastic clamp around the intake right next to the cylinder it is applicable to it. If the clamp is of steel construction then you should be ok.

Partition wall and clamp for intake system,

The existing intake system on 357XP, 359,353 and 346XP currently consists of an integrated plastic clamp in the partition wall. As the clamp is made of plastic, there is a risk of deformation. This results in impaired clamping force against the cylinder, which in turn can result in leakage in the intake system. To prevent this from occurring, we have now introduced a metal clamp and a new partition wall.

The new partition wall is made up of polyamide with 30 % fibre glass.
The new clamp is a hardened steel clamp. The new material and the design of the clamp reduce the risk of deformation and the subsequent risk of leakage.

Full replaceability prevails.

OK, so maybe I'm a little slow here...but how do we get the new part? Looks like my 353 has the plastic clamp.

Order this part #537 25 13-02.

If you can not get one locally you can get them from Bailey's or any sponsor that carries Husqvarna saws.

Tell them it is from Service Bulletin B0600023 if they have any questions.
If you saw is under 2 years old, and registered or you have sales receipt, you might get some help from the dealer. Just don't assume, ask!

I do not know for sure but you would have to assume that it would apply to their similar models. It would be cool for a J-red fan or dealer to check it out and let us know.

They have the same on bulletin # B 0600005 for 2156,2149,2152,2147.

The replacement part for the intake that you have listed does not match anything that I have on my 357XP IPL. I looked at the clamp on mine and it is plastic, but the part number that is associated with it seems to be 503 89 87-01, not 537 25 13-02. Am I not looking at the right part?

My 2159 is metal late 2006 saw. But then don't Jreds get all the good parts? Just pulling your leg

Whoa. You know it's bad when you have to quote yourself. I must have been half asleep when I posted that last night. Hey, it was 11:00 and I just got off work after taking a beating at the railroad.... Anyway, I had cut and pasted a completely wrong part number. Not even close....

Okay, what is shown in the service bulletin is exactly what I have, so I will order the upgrade... Thank you.
