Shindaiwa no spark

My 757 has no spark, tried a new plug but still no spark. It has a two piece ignition system, a coil and a coil exciter. Any way to test these to see which one is bad?

check the kill switch first.

I have checked the kill switch, it is fine.

Did you buy it new?? I believe they are lifetime warranty on the coil to the original owner.

The saw was abandoned at a local shop. I don't know who the original owner was.
