Solo 637

Just ordered a solo 637 for £309 with a spare 14 inch chain .. cant wait to compare it to the old trusty 200t. On paper it seems good ,same weight same power yet more cc's seems to be alot of plastic on the saw tho only time will tell how it compares to the 200t. Pics and comparisons when it arrives.

I had the NE solo 637 TH 40cc. I liked the AV better then the 200t av. It wont cut like a 200t so dont expect it to.
But of course NE 637 were half the price of the cost of a 200t new here.

Good saw just dont expect it to be a 200t is all I am saying.

Solo specs often are more "optimistic" than specs from other brands - I don't trust them at all!

There's NO comparison between a 637 and the 200t, forget specs on paper, in all aspects the 200t TOTALLY blows the 637 into the weeds by a huge margin. The solo is just like your typical cheapo TH echo. A backyard saw at best. The 637 is a crappy Lada, the 200t a Ferrari, the 200t engine is VASTLY superior than the solos cheap plodding effort, and the rest of the 200t package is on a completely different level of quality. Contrary to what the know-alls living in their little fantasy world will try telling you, cheap saws are cheap for a reason

Has anyone thought of porting or MM mods on this saw ..let her breath a little more than stock pop up piston or the likes ??

Well I sure am happy in my delusional world were my el cheapo/weako saws cut down branch after branch and tree after tree for years and years and years..... Must have something to do with the exhaust they are producing.
