Hi, I have worked with Solo rex 125 now and I have ignition timing problem. I have read that if you put timing too early it will kick back like a mule . I have no idea with right timing. There is three holes in ignition module cover but not any timing marks. Could anybody give a help thanks?

Set the points to open approx 2 mm for TDC, which is easy to measure while sticking a screw driver into the plug hole. Should do the trick. I have worked on several of these and can confirm that this solo will rip of your fingers if set too early. Don't ask how I know.

Thanks for your reply. Does this mean that piston must be 2 mm down before it reach TDC when points open? What is points gap in this saw? I'm not very familiar with ignition point system.
