that is a big burr oak we had fall down. werent able to cut the trunk up, but got 4 cords just from the branches. we plan on blowin the trunk up with black powder.

it helps to have good equipment when loading wood.

Man if you can take down one of those Javelinos with a .9mm I want to be your new best friend. That is some impressive shooting skills.

not a javalina, but a feral hog. But im sure i could take a javi with my 9mm just the same since i would think hogs are a lil tougher lol!!

Ive got plenty more pics of me taking out hogs with the 9mm, it is one of my favorite things to do!! I would post em, but they have a lil bit of blood and i didnt want to go breaking rules or anything on my first day lol!

Brandon:

Looks like you know how to go after it. That is one heck of a load of "branches" you've got in the truck.

Dude, it would be a crime to blow up that trunk. Get a bigger saw or a longer bar on the one you've got, or just phone a friend.

Awesome pics though. I'm looking forward to more. Go ahead and post the rest of your hunting pics. We're all hunters here, except for the anti-gun/little sissy/fairy/commie/socialist/marxist/progressive/Obama loving/liberals that hang out in the political threads, but there's not much we can do about them since everything makes them cry.

And welcome to the AS forums.

BuddahKat, don't think he means blow it up to destroy the trunk, but to halve it so he can saw it. Blowing huge logs apart with black powder is an old trick sawmillers use on logs too big for their mill.

Don't blow it up! I am just up the road in Killeen and have the saw, chain and bar to cut ANY tree in Texas.

If you don't want the wood, I am always looking for more for our fireplace.

Give me a call at 254-423-8114 and we can get your tree cut up.

Hal

I don't care. Blowing up a huge tree is just wrong, unless you're doing it just for fun.

well that dump truck load is actually from some other oak trees we cut up, so it is mostly trunk with some branches... by the way, do yall not call em branches or what lol?

lol, yes they are snake proof boots, but not all that necessary for where we were in that pic, other places i cut, especially mesquite, they are almost a must.

mainly they are for hunting and fishing, working in the water.
