Spaulted Maple

Last week when I was out firewood gathering I pulled out some maple from a slash pile. After cutting to length and getting it home I cut it up this AM. I knew it would be spaulted but just not how much...anyways I log almost done and another to get to, manyana. Average width is about 16"-18" cut at 5/4.
This stuff is pretty dry so only a week or so in the kiln and then I will check it.

That's cool wood. What do you plan to do with it?

I have a client who wants a room divider screen. I just finished a rough prototype of one of the panels. The screen would consist of 5 panels. Each panel 6' X 14" . Frame to be determined.

I want to do a kitchen in it, but I doubt that'll ever happen since a buddy can hook me up with stuff they make at work way cheap.
