A question for the sawyers... when you sticker/stack your lumber, what do you use as a base? A pallet? Also, with the storms that we have out at my place, I can imagine alot of the boards getting blown off and sent across my property. How do you prevent this? Just concrete blocks on the top or something? I have never stickered/stacked before so I want to get it right. Thanks!
I am getting to mill on my new Lumbermate2000 as soon as it stops raining on us!

This thread http://www.arboristsite.com/showthread.php?t=90757 has some pictures of stickered lumber. Depending where you are & how bad the wind blows, you might have to tie your covers on top. Othertimes blocks or slabwood will work. You want a nice level base, up off the ground. You can use blocks & stringers [like 4x4's] for this. Gotta be flat though, any waves in the base will go right up into the lumber.
