I have a stihl 031av and it will not start. After sitting in storage for 8 years I put it started on the first pull and ran like a charm all day. I cleaned it up and put it on the shelf for about the past month. Now it will not start. Every now and then it kicks over but just one stay going more than about 2 or 3 seconds. It looked like I was getting weak fire so I changed the spark plug and now it looks good. I have 150 lbs compression. I wasnt getting fuel so I changed the carb, fuel filter, and fuel lines. I think I am getting to much fuel because it is coming out of the carb. My spark plug is bone dry though.
Long story short I am hoping someone has a user/owner manual and a repair manual they can send me. I plan on rebuilding this thing and my 026 and using them for another 50 years. Best damn saws Ive ever used.
