Stihl 044c ?

I recently saw a stihl 044c. Apparently this saw has a catalytic converter on it? Has anyone used one, does it suck? Less power than normal 044? What happened to them?

The c is refering to the choke on it. It has been talked about before on here. Just search 044c and it should come up.

The 044C has an automatic choke. The KAT is a whole different deal.

According to Stihl website, in 1988 this was the first saw with catalytic converter. Here is the link
