I was agreeing with your post.
People think a lot of simple looking stuff is easy to make.
Not always so.
Higher ups and the uninformed often don't see the problems the craftsman does.
I got a digital read out on my lathe.
Engineer thinks you just dial to the number. What's so hard.

With a mill vice. Yeah. No problem.
Easier than round shapes on a mill.

You put the cutter in the headstock and put on a vertical slide with a vice attached to the cross slide.
3 axis of movement...
You rough it on the lathe in the chuck and get rid of most of the meat.

That is Definitive Dave's for his saw for playing in cants. It's about 270% of exhaust port opening. Usually 100-130% is good for stock or woods ported. Yours is around 130% of exhaust opening at the flange.
Got it. Should work for me. Mine has a mild woods port from JMS.
If it doesn't I'll send you a bolt on deflector or we can swap out mufflers later. You'll just have to try it out.

16 gauge. Little harder to bend but a lot easier to weld.
