Someone correct me if I'm wrong... but wasn't there 3 different models of the 090av that were manufactured? What is the differences? And how do you tell the difference between them? By the serial numbers?

I notice our handles are different.

What year is yours?

And mine?

If you know.

Mine's not the AV, just the regular 090 with a wrap handle...and it might be ported . I think mine is an early 80's model.

Yours has the chain break which came out in the mid 80's.

I wish mine had the AV, but who cares when the chips are flowing like a ground blizzard.

I always heard the MC 125 is faster and stronger, I even tried to buy a nice MC 125 here to test the theory...but the MF scammed me. Still looking for a clean and running 125 to test against the two.

If you ever get to WV, you can try mine.

I pretty much got them in every version. I like the 090G better but to each there own. If that is worth $3800 I will sell my late model 090AV. Heck what are my my late model 090G's worth then. I have a few

The 125 is better & lighter than an 090 with 50 & 60 inch bar lengths, above 60" the 090 is stronger. Cubes count when running 72" and longer bars. A gear drive 090 is pretty much unstopable with a 96" bar, but it is also north of 60 lbs.

I tried to load a video I have of you running your 090GS with the 96" bar, but it won't let me load a file that big

Here you go Don, this is a link to a video of you running your 090GS with the 8" bar. (I hope, I've never done this before)
