So, what is the problem exactly?

The big problem I have right now is it won't idle. When I first start it I can give it full throttle, it revs up excellent then I release the throttle to let it idle. When it gets down to low speed rpms the mixture seems too lean and it just continues to slow down till it quits.
I took everything apart and checked impulse hose and fuel line and filter, good to go. The idle screw and main mix screws are 1 turn open. The metering lever in the carb is flush with the casting. The needle is not perfect but I have had it running good before with the same one.
I really suspect the accelerator pump.

Be certain your L setting is correct. They can cause exactly that condition.
I have no idea how to block an accelerator on these carbs, but they are very similar to a 200t carb.

I bought this carb new 3 - 4 years ago to cure exactly the same issue. What a PAIN
