I cleaned the filter and a wire came loose that shuts off the chain saw when you turn it to off and I Can,t tell where it connects to.

the coil or kill switch i would think.i doubt it has a heated handle or carb.

If you are talking about the yellow wire that comes out of the rubber gromet on the left hand side. IIRC its come out the same place (or near???) where the spark plug wire comes out. There is a little tab direct below it that it slides on to that is to the left of the carb.
