Stihl mufflers made in Chicago Heights, IL

Visited the company that makes Stihl mufflers and stamped steel felling spikes yesterday, I tried to score a 261c muffler before it was crimped together but no go!! They make mufflers for Dolmar and Husqvarna also. Cool place.

What all models do they make em for?

The guy I talked to said all the Stihl saws. They had them on display on a wall, but I only recognized a couple. He said if I knew the series numbers he could tell me for sure.

Did you get to see the finish metal treating process or is it pre-treated before going through the dies?

Looked like it was already plated before it was stamped.
