I second the suggestion to call the local stove dealers. I was just in the store picking up a new baffle and rails for my 18 year old Pacific Energy. The dealer told me he just removed the same stove as mine from a woman's house because when she bought the house, the baffle in the stove was rusted and rotten (just like mine). Otherwise the stove was perfect.
The customer wanted new, and the dealer was happy to provide her a new stove. He gave the stove away to the fellow who removed it from the house, and sold him a new baffle and rails ($250). Not a bad deal!

ok....they are a retailer and marked that furnace up...they paid around $4-500 for it...what can you make for that? I know what steel, labor, building overhead, taxes, insurances cost. There's really not that much there.

While you are right there is not that much there only about 600 lbs of steel. Still it is a UL listed furnace and built by union boilermakers and built right here in the USA in Tennesee if I am not mistaken. My father in law has had his for 6 years and no problems and I am on year #4 with no problems. That is $200 a year for me up to this point and I plan to amortize it out for several more years.
The jist of my post is they are a descent product at a good price IMHO. It is easy to make fun of a Escort and point out the inequities of its design when you are driving or selling Lincoln's. But the fella in the escort is still getting the job done and happy he has transportation.
