If only someone here had both a NOS 064 and now a like new 288XP;)

You beat me with the whole "NOS" thing but I've acquired both now. One has a sticker, the other one is in line. I cant wait to find out myself. Did you buy a 288 from Roger? Im working on buying 2 saws from him.... just waiting on a couple more pics tomorrow.

I like the 288 better than the 064 if for nothing more than the exhaust note!!!
I think they are very close power-wise, with the 064 being lighter (even over the Lite). The springer 288's are definitely smoother than the 064/rubber 288.
Cool sounding saw it idles like a dirt bike.

I bought a new Lite. Low top, no big spring on front and a bit better AV. I have a used 288 normal... I do not notice a difference in running them, nor lugging them around all day. Port one and they are strong saws.
The saws that Roger is selling are sweet. I am tempted myself, but could not justify it with the wife.
