Technical Question on Jonsered 2054

Just got a 2054 j-red with the 2 peice engine top cover, that is broken. Got a guy that has one with a 1 peice cover but he's about 75 miles from me, so I don't want to waste the trip if it won't fit. Any help will be appreciated.

They use 2 different recoil setups on those saws. I would bet that you would have some fitting problems with the one piece top cover. The recoil goes much higher on the 2 piece compared to the one piece.

Just to let you guys know I found a top cover for the 2054. A friend told me about a Jonsered dealer only 10 miles from me. He had one in stock, had been selling jonsered part time, out of his small shop, for about 40 years.
