I don't agree with his stance but what's far worse than that would be a world where he couldn't feel free enough to say what he really thinks. The gays, blacks, white honkeys, short arses, fuglies, bigots, hippies, rag heads, pommy gits, white trash, religious nut jobs, etc of this world need to develop coping mechanisms and value free speech as much as the next person. The world would be a more robust place if we were free to speak our minds, had the courage to do so, and people weren't so easily offended.

Me exercising my right to free speech should not be confused with one getting their knickers in a not.

With free speech comes responsibility, and the responsibility to express that right comes a responsibility to express what is right. Hatred and intolerance dont have right's or a place in a modern progressive society that embraces peace and mutual respect.

It is through diversity and what makes us different that we become stronger as a whole and through divisive ideals we become weak.
