This Wood Shed Was Opened Up After 4 Years, Red Oak Coming In At 11% On The Moisture Meter.

That oak will be like gold in the stove . It's an investment with a gaurenteed return .. A lot better than the 0.2 the bank will give you

Nope, that electricity crap is frigging magic. Also you shouldn't use the microwave, causes cancers and tuberculosis.

I don't calibrate it, but I have used it on fresh cut red oak and it pegs it at 40+% and the longer seasoned stuff goes down in moisture content over time. It may nor be exactly right to within 1% but I wood say it is a good gage.

I used some of this wood the last couple nights and I don't have to use many pieces to get out a whole lot of heat and it's burning longer as well.

he seems to know all when it comes to moisture meters...he also knows with out them you wouldn't know if your wood was dry or not
