Tillotson 300 metering valve question

Putting in a carb kit on my 395 and wondering what the setting on the metering valve should be.

The adjustment of the inlet needle valve lever on Tillotsons was always "level with the body of the carburetor". It was that way on HS, HL, HR, and HD models.
