Read that the ms362 is awesome!!!
Figured it would be good to have a thread to link to when people are thinking about buying a boat anchor.
So why would you NOT buy a Stihl 290?

Start a thread about the top reasons to buy one then. To me spending $400+ on a farmboss doesn't make much cents with all the other choices out there.Senseless thread, there are actually many people for whom a 290 will nicely fit their needs.

He spelled "sense" for you and you still blew it.Start a thread about the top reasons to buy one then. To me spending $400+ on a farmboss doesn't make much cents with all the other choices out there.

Gotcha.'cents' was a pun
Not everyone cuts all day everyday so the 290 works great for many people. Not everyone has a Husky dealer close by either.Figured it would be good to have a thread to link to when people are thinking about buying a boat anchor.

I bought into farm boss hype years ago and ran a o29 super thinking it was a great saw. I was the 'typical' farmboss owner cutting a few cords of firewood a year and never had any trouble with the saw.Not everyone cuts all day everyday so the 290 works great for many people. Guess if you have to explain it's not funny.Maybe it is your avatar, dudnt make u look too smart ...( look at mine,..)
A LOT of MS290's are sold. Any one ever do a comparison side by side with other $400 options? The Stihl ratings for their HP are better than competitive products in the similar price points, I.e. 291 has a better rated HP than Husqvarna 455. I feel a video concept beginning to happen...
